php is not recognized as an internal or external command

  1. On Windows: Go To: Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables
  2. Under System Variables you will find Path > row.
  3. Click on Edit button and for Variable value add path of your php.exe file i.e. “D:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5;”.
  4. Don’t forget to add semi colon (;) before and after php.exe path.

It’s done!

Now go to command prompt and type php -v, you will have php version information is all is well.
